A modern take on the L88 of old, this powerful block combines the rigidity of an iron block with the lightweight benefits and added pop from aluminum heads, and there’s a Mallory ignition system to light it up and ceramic-coated headers to let it breathe. 427 Chevrolet scripted valve covers and an open-element air cleaner dress things up a bit, and a serpentine belt drive system ensures reliability.
