Under the hood is the biggest surprise of them all. After all, who would expect a powerful 5.7-liter fuel-injected HEMI V8 in a classic Buick? And since you know you’re going to show off this unique powerplant so much, it has an award-worthy setup. The walls of the engine bay are painted to match the exterior, and so is the cover for this motor. They spent a ton of time on custom fabrication to neatly hide many of the wires and other components. Not only was this V8 rebuilt during restoration, but also they added upgrades like Aeromotive fuel rails, a BBK throttle body, and Pacesetter headers. You’ll want to show this custom coupe off everywhere, and so it was built to be a true restomod. That means upgrades like a C4 Corvette front suspension, rack & pinion power steering, Art Morrison four-link rear, air ride suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes. And because this has the five-speed automatic transmission also borrowed from the donor Mopar, you have the right gearing for both performance driving and overdrive comfort.
