Mopar power within this special Dodge. The 318 cubic-inch V8 proudly announces it belongs in this one on the valve covers and air topper. More than just look great, this is a terrific powerhouse. The casting on the block leads us to believe it came out of a racing program, plus it has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. While this creates the right kind of power for a terrific street rod, this Dodge can still be an easy cruising machine. After all, the Torqueflight A727 three-speed transmission is stout enough to handle power driving, and then settle into automatic comfort at a moment’s notice. Plus, there’s an aluminum radiator to keep the V8 running cool even if you’re in traffic with the A/C pumping. There’s also an upgrade to a Mustang II front independent suspension that includes disc brakes and power steering.
