Here is your opportunity to become a true Ruff Ryder. Up for sale is a 1978 Plymouth Volare station wagon famously owned by the Grammy nominee rapper DMX. In July of 2013 DMX (Earl Simmons) was arrested in this vehicle for driving under the influence and no license. The dash cam video of the volare being pulled over and DMX being arrested went viral. It can be seen on TMZ, CNN, LA Times, etc. We purchased the car in 2021 from a local pawn shop where it had sat since 2015. The car still had the custom 22inch Foose wheels, alpine stereo system with Sony xplode subwoofer and the original New York license plates from DMX’s ownership. The alpine stereo still has an original copy of his album “flesh of my flesh, blood of my blood” in it and is believed to be from his ownership. We were able to find a few photos of him with the car and at his residence. The wagon was very obviously customized to his liking and is a true time capsule of the early 2000s car scene. The wagon runs and drives as it should, the paint is nice with exception to 2 very minor spots of paint bubbles on the lower door. The Plymouth has a clean South Carolina title.
