This 1947 Ford Tudor sedan is a full custom classic with cool customized body, proper V8 power, and a coordinated color theme inside & out.
Plus, the full air ride suspension means you get to dial-in your ideal stance on demand.
The bold teal paint obviously sets this machine apart, but first take a moment to look at all the custom work done before the first drop was sprayed on. The bumpers were expertly deleted for a smooth style. The sleekness continues with deleted trim, deleted door handles, and the headlights, taillights, and license plate were frenched. There were even inches expertly chopped out of the roofline on this custom built. It was all covered in a smooth teal that has a nice metallic element to radiate in the sunshine. And the full-length purple, gray, and blue triple-stripe was expertly added on top. The whole car has such a smooth and modern look that the only real piece of brightwork you’ll see are the polished Boyd Coddington wheels. Not only do they come with a nice 15/16 inch front rear setup, but you can really maximize the stance any way you want with the adjustable full air ride suspension.
Pop the remote door openers, and you’re greeted to a custom and fully coordinated package. After all, not only does the teal interior go with the teal exterior, but also the purple accenting in the seats and door match the outside stripe, too. The upholstery is a supple leather that offers bucket seats and a center console for both the front and rear occupants. There are more great modern features in this classic, like power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing before blowing cold again.) This is a great driver’s classic with a smooth custom form dash, a floor shifter, upgraded sports steering wheel on a tilt column, and a full set of TPI Tech gauges.
You don’t even have to get out of this one to showcase the motor. Push a button on the center console, and the forward tilt hood goes up. And because this can draw a crowd all on its own, they made sure the engine was ready to show off. That means smooth color-matched inner walls funneling your attention to a polished powerhouse in the middle. This 350 cubic-inch V8 inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a dignified tune from the dual exhaust. There are also good supporting components, like steel braided lines and an aluminum radiator. The air ride suspension can be dialed in for comfortable cruising. Plus, you’ve got other great features, like the upgraded front end, four-link rear, power steering, power brakes w/front discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission.
