This 1940 Chevrolet Coupe loves to announce it’s a full custom build.

More than just the shining two-tone on the outside, the full custom interior and tidy V8 power a total package that’s built for both show and go.

This ’40 Chevy has an awesome style done in classic steel. The teal and silver are a well-done contrast with a nice metallic element to unite them both. This two-tone is well intertwined with cool silver details, like the grille, hood inserts, and the pinstripe line within the teal to give this a distinct dividing line along the body. There’s plenty of classic style in details, like the big chrome bumpers and door handles. Plus, you’ll love all the updated touches, like the sport mirrors, fiberglass running boards, tinted glass, blue dot taillights, and Chevy bow tie chrome dual exhaust tips. And the 17-inch chrome Boyd Coddington wheels really set off this whole package. It has a modern look and a sporty forward-leaning stance that goes so well with this coupe’s profile.

Inside are plenty of reminders that this custom build has comfort and quality in mind. It starts with the two-tone tweed interior that coordinates well with the exterior teal. We especially like the smooth teal dash with bold pink pinstriping. There are nicely bolstered bucket seats up front, and yours even power adjusts to the ideal position. Plus, the comfort continues with a ton of great features like power windows, wood trim center console, folding armrest, cup holders, and provisions for modern R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) The stereo has even been upgraded to a Pioneer AM/FM unit featuring modern Bluetooth. There’s a sport steering wheel on a tilt column, crisp VDO gauges, a large SunPro tach, and a Lokar floor shifter. So you know that this is a comfortable cruiser that was made for driving.

Under the hood is plenty of Chevy power for this classic Chevy. The 350 cubic-inch V8 has some nice flair with the color-matched firewall and brake booster, as well as added polish from the Chevy valve covers, alternator, screen air grabber, and much more. But what you’ll love best is that this V8 is built with the right performance pieces, like a Cam Dynamics camshaft, Z/28 valve springs, an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, and ceramic coated headers. You’ll also spot the right supporting components, like Painless wiring, steel braided lines, AN fittings, a Mallory coil, upgraded pulleys, and a custom radiator w/electric fan. It makes for a package that’s both powerful and easy to drive. There are even more driver-ready upgrades, like the updated Mustang II front suspension, three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and the grip of modern tires.
