This 1935 Chevrolet 3-Window Coupe has a sleek street machine style on the exterior, a custom/comfy inferior, and a well-built small block under the hood
It all makes for an impressive total package that was built to enjoy.
These pre-war Chevy coups have a ton of style, and so it’s nice to see that classic feeling come through on the steel body and doors. Plus, the fiberglass fenders and running boards continue the flowing lines while also incorporating larger 15-inch Torq Thrust wheels and modern tires. It all makes for a great total package with very clean and straight lines. There’s also thoughtful details. You see plenty of this just at the lower part of the front end. It showcases the curved chrome bumper, well-integrated signal lights, and the fenders swoop down to cradle the classic grille. Along the sides there’s hand-laid pinstriping. And there’s even more artwork on the rear. It’s all wrapped in a vibrant red. So while the paint does show signs of enjoyment on this ’90s build, it retains the smooth style that tells you someone has babied this hot rod.
There’s plenty more custom work inside. The full gray package looks tasteful, and it’s broken up nicely by the custom dash pinstriping. There are some nice comfort features, including the Recaro-like bucket seats and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely needs a recharge to blow cold again.) Plus, while this build is a little bit older, that can come with some advantages. For example, you have a working Panasonic RM-310 AM/FM/cassette overhead console stereo. Vintage fans are really starting to love these. So you can show it off, or sell it to put some real cash back in your budget. And you’ll love the driver-friendly upgrades. This includes a Lecarra sports steering wheel on a tilt column and a dash dominated by a full digital gauge package.
The butterfly hood gives a nice view of the full V8 package. This has some added style with the polished firewall, bright air grabber, and Chevrolet valve covers with hand-painted accents. And because this has been such a thoughtful build inside and out, they also made sure this hot rod has power. This has a 283 cubic-inch V8 that has is said to have been bored to a 327 cubic-inch V8 and given a mild cam. Plus, it has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and shorty headers feeding the glasspack style dual exhaust. The undercarriage photos will show you more upgrades like Mustang II-style front end and four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. Add in rack & pinion steering, front disc brakes, and a three-speed automatic transmission w/shift kit, and you have a fun driving street machine.
