extraordinary 1931 Ford Model A is no Exception. Finished in a timeless shade of orange over an impeccable tan soft leatherette interior, this gorgeous street rod boasts a very high quality DuPont 2 stage paint finish on an all metal body and fenders that has been insulated with “Lizard Skin” sound deadener creating a very quiet passenger cabin, not typical of most street rods. Upon close inspection, even the most critical eye will quickly notice the high level of detail to be found in every aspect of this build, unique features such as hand painted stripes, Hagen custom fuel filler door, all stainless steel bolts, bronze tinted safety glass, dual electric windshield wipers, and fold up rear truck rack, are abundant and a testament to the meticulous nature of the owner/builder. Mechanically this custom Ford is as good as they come. Power comes from a performance built 302 Ford V-8 with about 5,000 since build and power is transferred through a 4 speed Ford AOD automatic transmission and a Ford 9″ 3:55 ratio Posi-Trac rear differential making this car a joy to drive even at highway speeds. Engine sports Ansen Classic finned aluminum valve covers, air cleaner and oil pan. Exhaust gasses flow through Hooker ceramic coated headers in to custom made dual exhaust. Up front is a Walker radiator with an electric fan to keep the engine cool. Supporting the all steel body and the power from the 302 V-8 is a professionally boxed frame, rear triangle suspension, Super Bell front dropped axle with 4 bar suspension and pan hard bar. The car rides on polished “Real” Wheels 14″ up front and 15″ in the rear with BF Goodrich TA Radial tires.
