1970 El Camino SS Custom This 1970 El Camino SS has undergone a complete, frame off, custom make over! No Expense spared in this unbelievable build. Over $80,000 invested! While the body was pulled from the frame and sent out to be shave and refinished in the House of Kolor two tone silver and gray, the frame was sent out to be powdercoated. A 383 Stoker crate motor was installed, along with a Holley 750 double pumper. The original 4 speed transmission was also replaced with a new 700R4. All of this mated to a 2600 stall converter, posi 411 gears and a 12 bolt rear. The El Camino is now pushing around 485 horsepower. The paint and body turned out amazing on this car. The silver and gray two tone paint was taken steps beyond your average two tone. With a silver foil separation stripe on this laser straight body!! Some of the best looking blue flames were added inside the black stripes, along with some very subtle pink and purple pinstriping. Inside was also refinished in custom leather. The bench seat, headliner, door panels and dash were alll redone by Armando’s Custom Interior in San Jacinto CA. A custom black bed cover was installed, along with a black truck box for storage. An Eclipse Navigation system was installed and controls the booming sound system, with a custom mounted subwoofer set up behind the seat. Dakota Digital gauges and Vintage Air are nice additions as well. The El Camino rides on 18″ front and 20″ rear Bonspeed rims and tucked behind those are Wilwood power disc brakes. This car is immaculate and was done right.
